Channel History
Git version control built into BridgeLink, so you never lose track of a change.
Why it matters
Never lose track of a change.
As your team grows and more clients come on board, tracking development changes across your engine gets harder, and it is easy to lose track of who changed what. Channel History brings Git version control directly into BridgeLink, automatically committing changes to your channels, code templates, and global scripts and pushing them to a remote repository. You get a full, searchable history of every change, a secure off-site backup, and the ability to revert to a previous version in seconds.
Capabilities
What it does.
Full history and rollback
View the complete history of changes to any channel, code template, or global script, and roll back to a stable version in seconds.
Automatic commits
Changes are tracked, committed, and pushed automatically as you work in the BridgeLink administrator tool.
Remote repository backup
Channels and code templates are pushed to GitHub for a secure off-site backup, so your configurations survive a hardware failure.
How it works
Get started in minutes.
- 1
Connect a Git repository
Enter the SSH URL and branch for your repository, point BridgeLink at your SSH private key on the server, and validate the connection.
- 2
Set your commit behavior
Turn on auto-commit so changes are tracked as you work, with optional commit-message prompts and sync-on-delete.
- 3
Browse history and diffs
Use the Git Status tab to see tracked files, pending changes, and the full commit history with side-by-side diffs.
- 4
Revert when you need to
Select an earlier commit and revert a channel to that version in seconds when a change introduces a bug.
